March 6, 2016

Sitting in my living room/office listening to Christifari. The doors and windows are wide open, letting the light breezes flutter the curtains. The birds are cooing and singing in the cooling mist of the water sprinklers. I smell the beautiful flowering shrubs and trees. I see butterflies flitting around in the ground cover. Gosh the palm trees even seem to dance this afternoon. Days like today make the days full of cacophony seem a distant illusion.

When I look at the two images below I think of how the majestic roar of the waves crashing into the shore is also a beautiful concert. I was thinking the same on the day I took these pictures as I am thinking today. Yes, we live in a broken world but there are some blessings that shine through and drown out the dissonance of the world if only for the length of time it takes for a wave to crash onto the beach.

I am drawn towards rich jewel tones so the photo art above is my favorite. However, I have noticed that a lot of people prefer the more ethereal pastel tones. So I remade the image and found that I liked both. This gave me problems because I couldn’t choose which to offer in my shop. So I thought, “Hey, I can list them both. There’s no law saying I can only choose one!”
